Locke and Keye

Locke and Keye

I was lucky and was able to get this book as an ARC (advanced reader copy). And I was super stoked because I had heard from others how good this author is. And I have to say, they didn't talk her up enough. Now that I have read this book I have to go back and add the rest of her books to my list of books to read.

Mr Locke has worked hard to perfect his craft. Now that he has opened his newest shop he plans to bring his life long work to fruition. And it all depends on the men he has hired. Christie takes us on a dark path as a determined man works to solidify his family.

The induction is so insidious even the reader has to take a step back and think things through before they see what he is up to. But the story is crafted so expertly that the true extent of the depravity is hidden until the very end. Even when you think it's revealed, there's another layer. And another layer. And you're left wondering just how far will this man go to protect his "family"? And what will his new family do to protect him?

For those not as lucky as me, you can pick up your copy tomorrow, 9/7
